German
completed 28-of-44 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns at UT
Martin, setting career-highs for completions, attempts and yards. The
redshirt sophomore had all three touchdown
passes in the fourth quarter, including a pair of 18-yard TDs to A.C.
Leonard and a four-yard scoring pass to Joe Bowens, as TSU cut a 28-6
deficit to 28-26 before a two-point conversion attempt failed.
This is the fifth time that a TSU player has been named TSWA player of the week (Trabis Ward and Nick Thrasher) this season.
The
Pompano Beach, Fla., native ended the year with 2,751 yards passing, the fourth most in a single season for the Tigers, and
18 touchdowns while completing 60.1 percent of his passes for the 8-3
Tigers. German now has 4,640 yards in his career, sixth best in school history.
