NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee State head football coach Rod Reed spent the day at the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center this past week to spread a positive message.
Coach Reed's message was that of positive attitude, thinking and change. The mission of the Juvenile Court is to provide judicial decisions, safety, support, and guidance products to children and families who come in contact with the Court so they can become productive members of our community.
"Thank you so very much for speaking a powerful message to our students at the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center," said Principal Janette Carter. "I overheard several positive comments from our students at the end of our program. As you can see that our population consist mainly of black students. I know that you made a difference in several of their lives this afternoon. Thanks for all that you do to help empower our students with the knowledge that they need in order to be successful."
