Moseley Named National Punter of the Week
Tennessee State University freshman Matt Moseley was honored on Monday as the College Football Performance Award's National Punter of the Week. Moseley averaged 50.8 yards per punt in four attempts at Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 22.

The Franklin, Tenn., native broke his own school record with a 73-yard boot in the third quarter. Moseley launched the punt from his own endzone, pinning the Colonels deep. He broke his previous school record of 69 yards set at Air Force on Sept. 24.

Moseley had two other punts of 40-plus yards and placed the ball inside the 20-yardline on two occasions.  On the season, Moseley is averaging 39.54 yards per punt, which ranks fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference. His boot of 73 yards is the longest of any OVC punter this season.

Senior Calvin McNairl was named honorable mention Wide Receiver Performer of the Week. The senior grabbed six catches for a career-high 146 yards and one touchdown. He also caught an 89-yard pass late in the fourth quarter to put the Tigers within five.

TSU (3-5, 2-3 OVC) is off this weekend before closing out their final road trip of the year with a visit to Eastern Illinois on Saturday, Nov. 5. Kickoff for the game in Charleston is set for 1:30 p.m.
