Nashville, Tenn. - Tennessee State University State punter Taylor Cisneros was honored by the College Football Performance Awards for his play in Saturday's, 19-17, loss to Southeast Missouri State.
For the first time in his career, Cisneros earned national recognition with CFPA D-I Punter Performer of the Week Award honorable mention in FCS.
Cisneros, a senior from Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and four-year starter, posted five punts for 230 yards, 46.0 yards per punt, with a long of 55 yards landing two inside the 20-yard line.
On the season, he averages 40.7 yards per punt from total 1, 180 yards, including six of 50 yards or more and nine punts downed inside 20.
Cisneros became a TSU Football record holder with the longest punt in a game recording a 62-yard punt twice in 2008.
