Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State Lil' Tiger Football Summer Camp wrapped up on Thursday, June 10th, with close to 150 participants.
"We (TSU Football staff) appreciate all the support received from TSU, the Athletics Department and its staff. Last, we want to thank all our campers for coming out," said TSU Football head coach Rod Reed. "The camp has grown in recent years and more participants are registering every summer. The Lil' Tigers were very receptive to our drills and they all possessed a lot of talent. Without a doubt, we expect them to participate next summer with the hope of more attending."
The Tennessee State University Lil' Tiger Football Summer Camp got underway on Monday, June 7th, with nearly 100 participants in attendance on day one.
"We were excited and pleased to see a great turnout after pre-registration," said Reed. "The camp gives us a chance to help build our relationship with our younger fans, some of whom we met in our community efforts during the spring," Reed added. "We are focusing on team building, teaching a positive attitude, sportsmanship, and introducing the basic skills. Plus, we are having fun playing football!"
The TSU Lil' Tiger Football Camp is designed to provide participants with opportunities to develop and improve their football skill level in a fun, safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
