Tigers Lead The OVC with 2-0 record

The Tennessee State Tiger football team has broken into the Top 25 rankings in all four national FCS polls. TSU, which sports a 5-1 overall record and 2-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference, comes off a bye week to continue their quest for an OVC Championship and automatic berth to the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

The Tigers highest ranking comes in the FCS Coaches Poll at #21, followed by a #22 ranking in The Sports Network poll. TSU is ranked at #23 in the SME Network Broadcasters poll and they are tied for #24 in the Any Given Saturday (AGS) Poll.

TSU was ranked as high as #23 this season in The Sports Network Poll before losing 28-21 to Florida A&M on September 27th. The Tigers rebounded from that loss to take a hard-fought OVC 30-27 overtime win at UT Martin.

Tennessee State will host Austin Peay State (0-6, 0-3) this weekend (10/18) in an Ohio Valley Conference game at LP Field in Nashville, TN. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:00p.
