Rodgers-Cromartie Tabbed for OVC Weekly Football Honor

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, TSU’s 6-2, senior defensive back from Bradenton, Florida was tabbed the Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Murray State on November 3, 2007.

In the Tigers 42-28 homecoming victory over Murray State, Rodgers-Cromartie recorded his fourth blocked kick of the season (3 field goals, 1 PAT) in the first quarter, on a 31-yard field goal attempt by the Racers.

The block resulted in TSU scoring its first touchdown of the game. "DRC" finished the game with eight tackles (6 solo) and an interception, which he returned 71 yards for a touchdown. The interception touchdown return was his second of the season in both categories,

The Buck Buchanan Award Watch nominee also added a tackle-for-loss and a pass break-up.
