TIGERS' FOOTBALL DATE AT SAMFORD CHANGES

Tennessee State University's football game at Samford University has been moved from Saturday, November 10th, to Thursday, November 8th. TSU athletic officials have been notified by the Ohio Valley Conference office that their game at Samford University has been picked up for telecast by ESPNU-TV necessitating the date and time change. The game, originally slated for Saturday, November 10th at 1:00p, will now be played on Thursday, November 8th at 5:00p central time. The Samford game will mark the second Thursday contest for the "Big Blue" as they will play at Tennessee Tech on October 11th. This contest is the third confirmed national or regional live TV contest for the Tigers as TSU will appear on Fox Sports South earlier in the season, facing Jackson State (9/08) in the Southern Heritage Classic from Memphis, Tennessee and Florida A&M (9/29) in the Atlanta Classic from Atlanta, Georgia. The Tigers' are also slated to appear on Baton Rouge, Louisiana's COX-TV's local cable delay for their battle at Southern (9/22).
