Comments about unbalanced OVC officiating draws penalty. BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - The Ohio Valley Conference has issued a public reprimand to Tennessee State's head football coach James Webster for comments made in the media earlier this week regarding officiating. "The Ohio Valley Conference expects coaches and student-athletes to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times," said OVC Commissioner Dr. Jon A. Steinbrecher, who issued the reprimand. "Coach Webster's comments were unprofessional and are not in keeping with the high standards he has set for himself and his program, nor are they consistent with the standards of sportsmanship and ethical conduct held by the Ohio Valley Conference." "The OVC has procedures in place for coaches to address concerns with officiating," added Steinbrecher. "In this case, those procedures were not followed."
