Tennessee State Strength and Conditioning coach Chuck Losey put senior Tiger players through "Pro Day" drills for NFL scouts from the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, today (3/16) at the Gentry Center Complex on the Tennessee State University main campus. Several players turned in notable workout performances. Two wide receivers, Jeremy Stephens and Jarrett Morrow ran sub 4.5 forty yard dashes, with 4.39 and 4.47 respectively. Stevens turned in the best Vertical Jump (39.5) followed by WR Richard Gayle (38). Offensive guard Damien Pitts had twenty-six repetitions in the Bench Press and DT Almonte Duncan churned out 23 reps. The TSU "Pro Day" workout featured thirteen TSU football seniors, two players from Carson Newman College and one TSU senior basketball player. Pro Day workouts are an annual event to expose Tennessee State University football players' talents to National Football League scouts, in preparation for the upcoming NFL draft. -- tsu --
