NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State will host its Annual Blue-White Spring Football Game, Saturday (April 9) at Hale Stadium on the TSU campus. The game is set to begin at 2 p.m. and will conclude spring football practice for the Tigers and new head football coach James Webster. The Tigers have been in spring drills since March 16. "We have made progress during spring practice and the players are learning to finish, which was one of our goals when practice began," said Webster. "We have also become more aggressive and that too, is encouraging." Numerous activities have been scheduled around the spring game. In addition to the spring game, it is also TSU Student-Athlete Appreciation Day. There are also will be tailgate parties in the Hale Stadium area. Concessions will be available and there will also be games for children and vendors in the area. At 1:30 p.m., entertainment will begin featuring the TSU Aristocrat of Bands and the TSU Cheerleaders. The Tiger team will be divided into two squads. Members of the coaching staff will also be divided to lead each of the two teams. Photo opportunities will be available with Tiger players and coaches following the game. There is no admission charge to the game. Information on the 2005 season ticket packages will also be available.
