TWO TIGERS NAMED FIRST TEAM ALL-OVC, ONE ON SECOND UNIT

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee State's Charles Anthony leads the 2004 All-Ohio Valley Conference unit as Offensive Player of the Year, while defensive teammates Paul Thomas and Almonte Duncan have received recognition in a vote of the league's head coaches and sports information directors. Thomas (5-11, 220, Orange, Txas) is a first team All-OVC defensive lineman for the second straight year. Thomas, a defensive end, also had to play linebacker down the stretch of the season due to injuries. Thomas still finished second in the league with a total of 14 tackles for loss. He also tied for second in the OVC in fumbles forced. He led the team with 59 total stops. Duncan (6-3, 295, Atlanta) emerged as one of the top young defensive linemen in the league. The sophomore had 12.5 tackles for loss among 56 total tackles from his tackle position. The All-OVC team was announced Tuesday evening by league office Brentwood.
