TIGERS HOLD FINAL TWO-A-DAY WORKOUTS;FIRST BIG SCRIMMAGE SET FOR SATURDAY
NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee State Tigers went through their final two-a-day practice sessions on Friday in the final tuneup for their first major scrimmage of the preseason set for Saturday at 3 p.m. The Tigers will not have their full compliment of players on hand for the session due to injuries, but James Reese says the session will be very important for several young players. ?We are a little thin because of injuries, but this allows the young players to step in and make an impression,? said the Tigers' mentor. ?We are looking forward to the scrimmage and seeing where we are at this point in preseason camp.? The linebacker corps has been the area that has been hit the hardest. Transfer Shannon Donaldson and freshmen Kim DeLarge and Charles Vinson have missed action. Vinson is lost for the season due to torn knee ligaments. Sunday, the team will hold its annual picture day beginning at 2:30 p.m. on the Kean Hall grounds.
