Tuamafa Reilly begins her first season as an assistant coach for the Tennessee State volleyball program in 2017. Reilly has been a member of the TSU athletic department since 2006.
She began her professional coaching career at North Carolina A&T before coming to TSU as a graduate assistant for volleyball in 2006.
She transitioned into the compliance office during the 2007-08 academic year and began working as the Compliance Coordinator in 2008.
In addition to her coaching duties, Reilly currently serves as the Assistant AD for Compliance for the department. She manages the compliance website and the in-house integrated database, handles rules and education interpretation and assists with monitoring recruiting activities as well as other duties within the department.
A stellar collegiate athlete, Reilly began her playing career at Southwest Missouri State University (Missouri State University- West Plains). She helped guide her team to its first Region 16 Championship and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Nationals appearance in school history. A two-time All-Region 16 selection, Reilly guided her team to two Region 16 titles and two NJCAA National appearances.
After graduating from Junior College, she continued her career at North Carolina A&T State University. She was a two-time All-MEAC selection and helped the Lady Aggies to two consecutive 20-plus win seasons for the first time in school history. Reilly ranked among the MEAC top 20 in kills, assists, blocks and aces for two years.
A native of Killeen, Texas, Reilly obtained a bachelor's degree in Fitness & Wellness management from NC A&T in 2004 and a master's degree in Sports Administration from Tennessee State in 2008.
She has two children, Sagaia and Jakai.
