NASHVILLE, TENN. - A former Tennessee State football
player is guaranteed to be a member of this year's Super Bowl winning team as
Lamar Divens of the San Francisco 49ers and Anthony Levine of the Baltimore Ravens will see their teams face off in two weeks in New Orleans.
Divens is currently on the 49ers practice squad while Levine is on injured reserve for the Ravens.
Divens was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He has also spent time with the Ravens, where he played five games from 2008 to 2010, as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tennessee Titans.
Levine was a part of the Green Bay Packers Super Bowl winning team two years ago bringing TSU's count to 12 players who are members of
a Super Bowl Championship team.
The safety and former standout at Tennessee State had spent the past two
seasons on the Packers' practice squad before signing with Baltimore earlier this season. Levine saw game action twice this season in week 11 at Pittsburgh and recorded a tackle at San Diego during week 12
All-Ohio Valley Conference selection at the end of his senior year, Levine was
the 19th TSU Football alum on a roster of a Super Bowl team, while Divens is now number 20.
Super Bowl XLVII will kickoff at 5:30pm CST on Sunday, February 3, in New Orleans at the Superdome.
