CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The cross country teams completed their 2012 regular season at the Front Runner Invitational hosted by UT Chattanooga on Saturday morning. Both squads claimed sixth place finishes as they eye the Ohio Valley Conference championships.
The Tigerbelles Oteia Prince earned the highest finish as she crossed the tape in 20th with a time of 12:27. Prince completed her race just over a minute behind individual champion Amanda Sumner of UTC.
The Flying Tigers were led by Adrian McDaniel with a 38th place finish. McDaniel stopped the clock in 18:12 just ahead of teammates Theodore Nicholson (18:20) and Jonathan Owens (18:23). Donnie Johnson (18:46) led the next pack of TSU runners which included Jamill Jackson (18:57), Jalon McCutcheon (19:00) and Vincent Gilmore (19:43).
Tennessee State will compete at the OVC Championships on Saturday, October 27 in Oxford, Ala.
