EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The rains came late in the day to slow down play and Tennessee State on Tuesday at the SIUE Doubletree Intercollegiate. Play came to a halt for a small amount of time during the final round on the Par-72, 6,025 yard course at Sunset Hills Country Club in Edwardsville, Ill.

Kelly Merkel led the Tigers finishing in a tie for 21st after carding an 87 for a two-day total of 171. The freshman registered 18 pars throughout the tournament tying for the fourth highest amount. Amelia Dap shot a 94 for a 186, while Sarah Needleman finished with a two-round total of 197.

The Tigers are off until they travel to Evansville, Ind. on October 28th for the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate.
