On Friday, Tennessee State's Markeith Price competed in his first event at
the Paralympics in London, England.
Price finished in fourth place in the T13 400-meter dash.
The fourth place finish in the second heat earned him a spot in Sunday's final
race.
Price was clocked at 51.11 seconds and was the
top-performing American. However, he finished 2.07 seconds behind the winner,
Mohamed Amguoun of Morocco.
Price's next event will be tomorrow in the final of Men's
Long Jump. He will run the final of the Men's 400-meter dash on Sept. 2.
