Nashville, Tenn. --- Southwestern Illinois College standout,
LaTeasha Hill, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play basketball at
Tennessee State University for the 2012-13 season.
Hill had an immediate impact at SWIC, as she was named the Region
24 and Great Rivers Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year. She averaged a
double-double as a rookie behind 15 points and 10 rebounds per game. For her efforts, she earned All-Region and All-Conference honors.
As a sophomore, the 6-0 forward helped the Blue Storm to a
NJCAA Women's Division I National Tournament appearance and a 27-6 record. Hill
was also an all-conference and all-region 24 team selection as she averaged 11.9
ppg, 5.8 rpg and 1.03 spg.
A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Hill competed four years at
Franklin Central High School. She led the team in scoring and rebounding and
shot better than 48 percent from the field. She was recognized as the team's
Most Valuable Player following her senior campaign. She was also named to the All-County team and
was a two-time All-Conference selection.
According to NYDailyNews.com, Hill also considered Coastal
Carolina and Western Illinois before giving a verbal commitment to play for Tennessee
State.
