Nashville, Tenn. -Tennessee State lost the rubber match of their Ohio Valley Conference series with Morehead State on Senior Day Sunday afternoon at Tiger Field. The Tigers could only manage four hits as they fell 6-0 to the Eagles. TSU is now 12-37, 4-23 in the OVC, while MSU is 14-33, 7-18.

Katie Pfost improved to 5-14 with the complete game shutout. Pfost struck out eight, including the first five outs, and issued just two walks. Jordan Rehl figured out Pfost at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 with a double. Tedra Alford and Aisha Walker were the other two Tigers to collect hits, both finishing 1-for-3.

MSU used a Kayla Ashbrook two-out RBI double to take the early 1-0 lead in the first inning. Jamie Massaro added a two-run double in the third and Amer Riddle capped off the scoring with a three-run home run in the sixth that provided the 6-0 outcome.

Senior Susie Burke (0-6) received the loss pitching 2.1 innings and gave up just one earned run.

The Tigers will close out the home portion of their 2012 schedule by hosting Alabama A&M on Wednesday, May 2 for a non-conference double header. Games are set for 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Tiger Field.
