Dickson, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State University women's
golf team wrapped up action at the 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Championship
Tuesday evening.
Tennessee State only had three individuals competing in the
tournament and thus did not qualify for final team standings.
Sara Shoufler (35th) was the leading scorer for
Tennessee State. She carded a score of 90 in the opening round before improving
with an 85 in round two. She closed out the tournament with 94 for a final
score of 269.
Bria Norris and Mya Billingsley finished in a tie for 36th
place behind a total score of 283. Norris registered 96 and 98 in the first two rounds before
posting her best score of the tournament with an 89 in the third frame.
Mya Billingsley turned in an 89 in round one before
recording 99 and 95 in the next two rounds.
Tennessee State returns to action, May 11-13, at the PGA National Minority Championship in Port
St. Lucie, Fla.
