The Flying Tigers claimed second in the men's 8K race with forty team points and five top-15 finishes. The Tigerbelles earned their best finish of the season after totaling 64 points and three top-15 finishes in the 5K race. Ohio Valley Conference foe Austin Peay won both the men's and women's events.

Chris Hobbs earned his third top-finish for TSU this season, clocking a time of 31:44.70 for a fourth overall finish. Junior Jonathan Owens finished the 8K in 32:42.70 for seventh overall.

Bryan Herrea placed 11^th overall with his pace of 33:43.15.  Adrian McDaniel proceeded in 13^th with a time of 34:12.59. Completing the top-15 was Desmond Trice's mark of 34:55.92.

Rounding out the meet for TSU was Donnie Johnson (35:28.00, 19^th) and Jamil Jackson (37:01.68, 22^nd).

Tiffany Harris completed another personal best with a strong run of 20:44.55 to place sixth in the 5K event. She was followed by  fellow sophomore  Charita Harris with a time of 20:59.57 (9^th). Gabrielle Todd ran a time of 22:34.83 for 12^th overall.

Freshman Leah Carr finished 19^th with her time of 23:40.91. Kya Riley (24:49.90, 22^nd) and Ashontae Jackson (25:22.69, 23^rd) closed out the meet for the Tigerbelles.

TSU returns to Chattanooga for the Front Runner Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15. The meet is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. CT.
