In our commitment to fostering institutional control, Tennessee State University Athletic Department takes pride in operating our athletic programs with integrity. We are dedicated to enforcing adherence to the rules and regulations of the NCAA and the Ohio Valley Conference by our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and supporters. The goal of the Athletics Compliance office is to provide the education and support that our student-athletes, coaches, administrators and supporters need to make the right decisions and comply with the rules.

The following pages of information are designed to assist fans, friends, alumni, boosters, former and current student-athletes, prospective student-athletes, coaches and staff members. This website has been developed to assist with your understanding of NCAA legislation and the impact these guidelines have institutionally and beyond. Mission Statement 

The mission of the Athletics Compliance Office is to function within the realm of the University's compliance structure, coordinating, monitoring and verifying compliance with all NCAA and Conference requirements, and to educate athletics department staff members, student-athletes, the various constituencies of the University and the community regarding NCAA rules and regulations. The Athletics Compliance Office is committed and compelled to the principle of institutional control in the operation of the athletics department in a way that is constant within the rules and regulations of the NCAA, the Ohio Valley Conference and the University.
