Both squads placed fourth overall, as the Tigerbelles accumulated 120 points in the two-mile and the Flying Tigers notched 117 points in the 5K. Middle Tennessee won both the men's and women's events.
Christopher Hobbs earned his fifth top-finish of the year, running the 5K in 17:30 to earn 20th overall. Freshman Desmond Trice clocked a time of 18:00 to place 24th.
Bryan Herrera and Jamill Jackson followed next for the Tigers with times of 18:06 (25th) and 18:31 (29th), respectively. In his debut race, freshmen Osafa Hippolyte ran 30:58 to place 37th.
Charita Harris earned her first team top-finish for the Tigerbelles this season. The sophomore ran 13:14 to place 16th in the two-mile event. Leah Carr followed with a run of 13:41 to earn 22nd.
Kya Riley (15:17) and Ashontae Jackson (15:31) earned 27th and 29th, respectively. Also running in her first event, Felicia Oladokun placed 32nd with a time of 16:37.
Saturday's race was the last prep before the two teams compete again on Oct. 29 at the OVC Conference Championships in Richmond, Ky.
