Men's Head Coach
Kelly Carter took over as the head coach of the men’s cross country and track and field programs in 2000.
During his tenure, he has guided athletes to numerous high rankings on the OVC top performance lists.
Carter has served as a coach on the national level coaching th U.S. Paralympics Squad at the 2007 (Brazil) and 2008 (Beijing, China) Olympic Games.
Carter joined the Tiger squad after returning to Auburn University to serve as a volunteer assistant coach for two seasons. During his stint at Auburn, Carter honed his coaching skills under the tutelage of coaching greats Mel Rosen and Ralph Spry, He was integral part of the coaching staff for the team’s fourth and third place NCAA finishes in 1999 and 2000, respectively.
