Nashville, Tenn. – Earlier this week, former Tennessee State guard Wil Peters signed a deal to play basketball overseas with the BSW Sixers of the German ProB Bundesliga.
“I appreciate all the support from family and friends. This is only the beginning. All the praise and glory to God,”Peters said shortly after inking the deal. “One of the scriptures I stood by is Galatians 6:9: ‘and let us not be weary in well doing for in due season we shall reap is we faint not.’”
Last season, the Sixers went 10-12 in Group North, which tied the club for seventh place. The squad also had two American-born players in Jeremie Simmons (Ohio State) and Paul Harrison (North Greenville).
Peters starred for the Tigers from 2008-2012, amassing 951 career points and 386 assists.
The Sixers will begin its season in the first week of October.
