Kesi Hess named to All-OVC Second Team

2012-13 ALL-OVC

Nashville --- Tennessee State University women's basketball senior Kesi Hess was named to the 2013 All-OVC Second team in a poll voted on by the league head coaches and sports information directors.

Hess, a native of Dublin, Ohio, was the Lady Tigers' leading scorer this season with an average of 12.8 points per game. She knocked down a team-best, sixty (60),  three-pointers this season and shot 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The 5-10 guard finished the regular season leading TSU in steals while ranking 8th in the league in takeaways. She is also ranked 4th in made three-point field goals, 9th in three-point field goal percentage and 12th in scoring.

Hess has scored in double-digits eighteen times this season and has 738 career points at TSU. She was named to the Lady Griz Classic All-Tournament team in December after posting her first career double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds against Idaho.

In OVC games only, she is averaging 16.3 points per contest while shooting a scorching 42.7 percent from beyond the arc.
