Tennessee State's three top leading scorers are Kesi Hess (12.0 ppg), Simone Hopes (11.3 ppg) and Jasmin Shuler (9.5 ppg). Hopes also leads the Lady Tigers in rebounding with 6.7 boards per outing.
As a team, TSU is averaging 60.7 points per contest while shooting 36.5 percent from the field and 28.1 percent from beyond the arc. TSU is currently connecting only 67.4 percent from the free-throw line while committing an average of 16.8 turnovers per game.
TSU averages 37.8 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 10.0 steals per game. The Lady Tigers are under first year head coach Larry Joe Inman.
ABOUT MURRAY STATE
Murray State has emerged as one of the top teams in the OVC this year
as the Racers sit in second place in the West Division with a league mark of
7-3. MSU has won six straight and has an overall record of 15-7.
The Racers are most recently coming off a non-conference win over New Orleans. MSU defeated UNO, 69-56, on the road last Wednesday. In the win, Mariah Robinson and Erika Sisk led the Racers with 21 points each while Erica Burgess added 10. Robinson also had 11 rebounds for a double-double and Jessica Winfrey pulled down 10 boards.
MSU's only conference losses are to Belmont, Southeast Missouri and Eastern Kentucky.
As a team, Murray State is averaging 68.0 points per game behind a .368 shooting percentage. MSU is shooting .313 from beyond the arc and recording 43.0 rebounds per outing. The Racers register 10.6 assists, 15.8 turnovers and 9.4 steals per contest.
Mariah Robinson leads the team in scoring with 17.5 points per game while Erika Sisk (13.5 ppg) and Erica Burgess (9.8 ppg) round out the top three scorers. Jessica Winfrey averages a team-best 7.8 rebounds per game.
TSU vs. MURRAY STATE
Tennessee State and Murray State will meet for the 53rd time in the
series history with MSU leading, 32-20. Last season MSU swept the series
with a 66-56 win in the CFSB
Center and an, 87-73, victory in the Gentry Center. TSU's last win over Murray
State was a, 73-70, decision in the Gentry Center (2/3/11).

Tennessee State will match-up against Belmont for the second time this
season on Saturday, Feb. 16 in the Gentry Center. Following that game, TSU will
