WBB returns to action at home vs. SEMO

GAMEDAY
Tennessee State returns to action on Thursday night with an OVC contest versus Southeast Missouri. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. in the Gentry Center.

THINKING PINK
TSU will wear pink uniforms in support of the WBCA Pink Zone initiative.

LADY TIGER REVIEW
The Lady Tigers picked up a crucial OVC win on Saturday by defeating Jacksonville State on the road. With the win, TSU moved back into contention for the OVC tournament.

Destiney Gaston led TSU and recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Kim Haynes tallied 13 points. Avery Jones just missed a double-double with 12 rebounds and eight points. 

A WIN TONIGHT WOULD
Give TSU its fifth OVC win of the season... Give TSU its second straight OVC win... Give TSU its second consecutive home win...  Give TSU a season split with Southeast Missouri...

TSU BY THE NUMBERS
TSU is averaging 60.9 ppg while shooting 36.8 percent from the field and 29.9 percent from 3-point range. TSU is averaging 37.3 rebounds and 20.5 turnovers per game.

BROADCAST INFORMATION
The game will be available to watch on OVCSports.tv. There will also be a live radio broadcast on WTST (tsuradio.com).

ABOUT SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
Southeast Missouri is just ahead of TSU in the OVC race. The Redhawks (8-19, 4-12 OVC) have dropped four straight and are most recently coming off a non-conference loss to SIU-Edwardsville on Monday night.

Courtney Shiffer led the team with 17 points while Brittany Harriel grabbed seven rebounds.

SEMO is averaging 52.1 points per game while shooting 34.9 percent from the field. Katie Norman (9.8) and Brittany Harriel (8.6) are the team's leading scorers. 

SERIES INFORMATION
Tennessee State will match up with Southeast Missouri for the 41st time with the Redhawks leading the series, 23-17. SEMO claimed the first meeting of the season by defeating TSU, 51-46, in the Show Me Center.

MORE ON THE SERIES
TSU has won four of the last five meetings against SEMO.... Before the Redhawks defeated the Lady Tigers in December, TSU had won four straight...
