The Tennessee State University women's basketball team will return to action this Tuesday when the Lady Tigers host Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in the Gentry Center. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.

The Lady Tigers are coming off a, 70-64, loss to UT Martin Saturday. TSU had a double-digit lead but saw the game slip away down the stretch as UTM went on to win.
Tayla Foster posted a career-high 25 points to go with eight rebounds while Kim Haynes added 19 points and six assists. Alana Morris pulled down a team-best nine rebounds while Avery Jones grabbed eight boards.

Tennessee State is averaging 59.8 points per game while shooting 36.7 percent from the field, including 30.7 percent from three-point range. TSU is averaging 37.6 rebounds and 20.9 turnovers per game. The Lady Tigers turn in 12.2 assists, 7.0 steals, and 2.2 blocks per outing.

SIU-Edwardsville has an overall record of 7-14. The Cougars have lost two straight including its most recent loss to Eastern Illinois, 73-54.
SIUE is led in scoring by Jazmin Hill with 13.6 ppg and Raven Berry with 11.4 ppg. Berry also leads the team in rebounding with 7.5 boards per outing.
The Cougars average 60.0 ppg while shooting 36.2 percent from the field.
The Lady Tigers will match-up with the Cougars for only the second time in the series history with SIUE holding a slight, 1-0, lead over TSU. The Cougars claimed the first meeting earlier this season, 70-60, in Edwardsville, Ill.
