Nashville, Tenn. - Hundreds of fans and supporters came to see the Tennessee State University men and women's basketball teams in the annual Big Blue Madness on Thursday, Oct. 18 in the Gentry Center.
The doors opened at 5:30 p.m. and players signed autographs for fans beginning at 5:35 p.m.
Fans got an opportunity to meet the 2012-13 Tiger and Lady Tiger basketball teams as well as new head coaches Travis Williams and Larry Joe Inman.
The event featured a three-point challenge, dunk contest and a 'Blue and White' scrimmage for each team. There was live music, as well as performances from the Cheerleaders and Tiger Gems.
Players threw t-shirts to fans throughout the night and a musical chairs contest determined the winner of a gift card.
Season tickets for the 2012-13 basketball season go on sale Monday, Oct. 22. Tickets start at $90 if purchased before Oct. 31. Call 963-5841 for ticket information.
Fans are also invited to join the TSU Coaches for the American Cancers Society Coaches vs. Cancer tip-off luncheon Thursday, Nov. 1 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Belmont University Curb Event Center.
