Nashville, Tenn. - The Tennessee State University Tigers will travel to Cookeville, Tenn. to face Tennessee Tech on Monday, Feb. 14, to end a three-game road stretch. The OVC match-up is slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off at the Eblen Center.

The Tigers (11-14, 8-7 OVC) are nipping at the Golden Eagles in the all-time series trailing, 26-25, and have won the last two meetings. Both of TSU's last victories over TTU have been at home in the Gentry Center including a, 71-65, win in January.

Patrick Miller (11.9 ppg) provided the lift for TSU, scoring a career-high, 22 points, to lead all scorers.

The Tigers are having trouble on the road picking up their last win away from home on Jan. 8 with a 67-64 win over Tennessee Martin. TSU is 3-12 on their opponents' home court this year which includes a, 79-64, loss to Austin Peay on Saturday.

Miller led TSU with 15 points as the Tigers dropped their second straight.

At the Eblen Center, TSU posted their last win in Cookeville in 2009. Wil Peters (10.4 ppg) was the only member on the current roster that helped pull off the victory scoring eight points that night. A win over TTU will give TSU their first sweep over the Golden Eagles since the 2005-06 season.

Robert Covington and Kenny Moore lead the Tigers' offense respectively. Covington is averaging 13.5 ppg and leads the squad in rebounds (7.6 rpg), field goal percentage (.514) and three-point shooting (.467), also a conference best.

Moore is posting a team high, 14.9 ppg, and is second on the squad in rebounds with 7.0 per game.

Tennessee Tech is coming off an, 85-71, road win at Tennessee Martin and has won two of their last three games. After their loss to TSU at the Gentry Center this year, TTU won three straight adding to their 5-2 record since then.

The Golden Eagles (14-11, 10-6 OVC) are ranked fourth in the current OVC standings and posts two players averaging in double figures: Kevin Murphy (15.0 ppg) and Jud Dillard (10.8 ppg.)

TTU leads the OVC in scoring (75.4 ppg), field goal percentage (.480), rebounding offense (37.3 rpg) and defensive rebounds (25.0 rpg). Their offense is also powered by Zac Swansey (9.8 ppg) and Alfred Jones (8.8 rpg). Swansey leads the OVC in assists with 6.4 per game. He is also second in the league in steals (2.0 spg) and the only Golden Eagle to be named to a weekly honor winning the OVC Newcomer of the Week (1/31). Jones enters as the league's top shooter hitting .653 from the field.

Next, the Tigers will break their conference schedule for the ESPN BracketBuster when they host Delaware State. The match-up is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Gentry Center with a 3 p.m. tip-off.
