As a Junior:
Has started all 27 games this season...leads team with five home runs...was 3-for-4, tying her career high in hits, with a double, a run and an RBI against Austin Peay (3/21)...went 2-for-3, scored two runs, hit a home run and drove in three versus Alabama State (3/8)...scored a career high four times in a 3-for-3 outing with a walk, a stolen base a home run and two runs batted in versus Alabama A&M (3/8)...scored twice and hit a solo home run at home against Alabama A&M (3/24)...went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, while setting career bests scoring three runs and driving in four at Alabama A&M (2/13)

As a Sophomore:
One of five players to start all 56 games…led the Tigers five home runs and tied for the top spot with 22 runs and nine doubles…named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week on Mar. 10…honored by College Sports Madness as Player of the Week for Mar. 3-9…selected as MVP of the Tiger Invitational by going 10-for-22 at the plate, batting .455, with four doubles, a home run and scored seven runs, while driving in seven in seven games…hit three-run home run at #15 Georgia (3/12)…earned a spot on the Tiger Classic all-tournament team...went 3-for-3 with a home run versus Temple (2/22)…collected two doubles against Holy Cross on Mar. 4…matched career best two doubles in a game versus Saint Louis (3/8)…Burgess is eighth on the TSU career home run list with seven…ranks fourth on the hit by pitch career list with 15

As a Freshman:
Burgess played in 43 games, while starting in 42… finished the season with a .221 average by picking up 25 hits in 113 at bats… led the team with eight doubles… scored 16 runs and drove in 17… was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases… recorded first, as well as first double, in a 2-for-3 performance versus Indiana State (2/17)… hit first career home run at Eastern Kentucky (4/13)… notched her lone triple at home against Alabama State (3/8)… had three multiple hit games on the season… was hit-by-pitch seven times, enters the TSU record books for the seventh most in a season

At Desert HS:
Burgess, a native of Palmdale, Calif., attended Desert High School where she competed under head coach Pam Camble for four years. She also played for Coach Sarah Adams' California Stealth during the summer and is a former teammate of current Tiger sophomore Savannah Gutierrez.During her high school career, Burgess was a three-time All-League First-Team selection while garnering First-Team All-Valley honors twice.
Some of her 2012 accomplishments with the California Stealth include: TCS Colorado Sparkler, Long's Peak Champions; So Cal Premiere Qualifier, Huntington Beach, CA; TCS qualified World Series.Additionally, Burgess also participated on the Desert High basketball team. For her efforts on the court, she made the All-League First Team two consecutive years.
