The Lady Tigers Getting the Bear off their Backs
Nashville, Tenn. - With the 2010-2011 athletic season approaching, the Tennessee State University Department of Athletics will take a look back at last year counting down the Top 10 Moments of the 2009-10 season.
Topping the countdown at No. 10 - "The Lady Tigers Getting the Bear off their Backs" with a victory over Belmont.
In a contest that wasn't decided until the final three minutes, Tennessee State had three players score in double-digits to help pull out a close 74-66 win over Belmont in the Gentry Center on December 30, 2009.
With the victory, Tennessee State (4-7) snapped a three-game losing skid and defeated Belmont (6-4) for the first time since 2001.
The TSU athletic department's staff and coaches, out of a pool of more than 25 entries, voted the Top 10 Moments of 2009-10.
