NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Fans came out in droves for the meet and greet that was held by the Tennessee State University volleyball team on Tuesday at the faculty dining area in Kean Hall.
Over a hundred fans and fellow student-athletes showed up to get their posters autographed by the Tigers on Tuesday evening. The men’s basketball team, women’s basketball team, cheerleaders, and various other players from different teams as well as the McKissack middle school volleyball team were in attendance. A chair was a hot commodity, given the number of people there.
After speeches by head coach Kathy Roulhac, senior Jaime Cooper, junior Hayley Hampton, and a prayer by senior Taylor Swayzer, fans lined up with their 2014 posters and met each player on the team. At the end of the event, the team joined hands with the people in attendance and sang the TSU Alma Mater.
The event was a good way to fire up the team and fans, alike, ahead of the regular season tip off at Arkansas. The game against the Razorbacks on Friday night can be seen on ESPN3.com.
