Nashville, Tenn. --- Volleyball (9-15, 7-9 OVC) prepares for their last two matches of the regular season as they face Austin Peay on Friday, November 12 at 7:00p.m. and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Sunday, November 14 at 12:00p.m. The Tigers will need a win against Austin Peay and the help of Eastern Illinois and Tennessee Tech to fulfill their postseason aspirations.
In the 3-0 loss to Eastern Illinois Santia Sanders was able to record another double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs, while being the only Tiger to post double-digit kills. Calasia Williams and Kamille King anchored the defense while Williams recorded 15 digs and King added 14. The Tigers did not hit well in the loss as they registered 44 kills while hitting .193 against the 45 kills and a .246 hitting percentage of Eastern Illinois.
Tigers vs. Austin Peay (22-6, 13-4 OVC)
Austin Peay leads the overall series 38-7 as they took a 3-2 match from the Tigers earlier this season. Austin Peay is riding a four game win streak with their most recent wins coming against Eastern Illinois (17-25, 25-19, 25-21, 26-24) and Southeast Missouri State (25-22, 25-21, 25-18). In their most recent victory gainst SEMO, junior Ilyanna Hernadez led the Lady Govs with 14 kills and sophomore Nikki Doyle added 12 kills while leading the team with a .393 hitting percentage, recording just one error on 28 attempts. As a team Austin Peay registered 50 kills while hitting .236.
