NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With the spring season about to get into full swing, the Ohio Valley Conference released its men’s and women’s tennis preseason rankings.

The Tennessee State men are predicted to finish 10th while the women were pegged 11th in their respective divisions.

Sophomore Daniel Bernal returns to lead the men’s team, after posting a 4-6 record last year. His mark as a No. 1 singles player earned him a seventh-place finish in the conference.

For the women, Attallah Eiland will be the team’s top player for the second-consecutive season. The women’s side will also welcome true freshmen Victoria Haynes and Trinity Randolph to the fold.

The men will began their season at Middle Tennessee on Feb. 16, while the women open the year against the Blue Raiders on the road on Feb. 28.
