Nashville, Tenn. --- The Tennessee State University men's golf team will close out the 2012 spring season at the 26th annual PGA National Minority Championship in Port St. Lucie, Florida, May 11-13.
Practice rounds are scheduled for Thursday while the tournament kicks off Friday morning at 7:30.

In TSU's last outing, the Tigers placed ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship after firing a score of (+47) 911. As a team, TSU improved 14 strokes from the second to the third frame with a tournament-best round score of 291.
James Stepp finished tied for 22nd and led the way for TSU with a (+7) 223. The All-OVC Newcomer selection paced the Tigers after day one with a two-over-par 74 before posting 75 in the second round. In round three, he shot an even-par 36 on the front nine before carding 38 on the back nine for a score of 74.
Ryan Pierson, finished in a tie for 33rd place after shooting his best round of the tournament in the final frame. In round three, he posted an even par 36 on the front nine before carding a one-under-par 35 for a total score of 71. He opened the tournament with a mark of 78 before tallying an 81 for a total of (+14) 230.
Cameron Scitern (T35) finished one stroke behind Pierson with (+15) 231. He improved each round as he tallied scores of 79, 77 and 75, respectively.
Behind Scitern was Dallas Hill. After leading the Tigers with a 74 on day one, Hill shot an 82 in the second round. He improved the next day by carding a (+4) 76. His final score of (+16) 232 was good for 37th place.
Andrew Warner (T41) carded rounds of 79, 77 and 79 for a total score of (+19) 235.
