Nashville, Tenn. – The Tigers take to the road for their final three-game Ohio Valley Conference series of the season. Tennessee State will travel to Richmond, Ky., to square-off against Eastern Kentucky. A doubleheader is scheduled for 1:00 pm ET, on Saturday and a single game at 1:00 pm ET, on Sunday will close out the series.

The Tigers (11-27, 2-10) lost both ends of doubleheaders at SIU-Edwardsville and Eastern Illinois last weekend. SIUE and EIU have the two top records in the OVC. EKU enters the weekend a game behind SIUE. TSU sits just one game behind the final spot for the OVC tournament with 13 games remaining on the schedule.

The Colonels boast three hitters over .300 and four runners with double-digit stolen bases. Sarah Fobbs sits atop of the stat sheet with a .354 average. Fobbs has recorded five doubles, eight home runs, and 24 RBI. Raquel Howes is batting .338 with seven dingers. Howes leads EKU with 27 runs, 11 doubles, two triples, and 26 RBI. Kayla Joyce is in the top trio with a .321 average and with nine doubles. Joyce is also one of the stolen quartet with 12 on the season. Haley Schenasi leads the team with 13 and is joined by Melissa Costa with 11 and Christina Ciolek with 10. EKU relies mainly on Leanna Pittsenbarger and Shaylon Robb to work the majority of their games. Pittsenbarger has worked in 134.2 innings, striking out 163 while compiling a 14-8 record and a 2.18 ERA. Robb is 7-8 with a 3.49 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 96.1 innings.
