Tennessee State University football head coach Rod Reed sat down with the Midday 180 on 104.5 The Zone Tuesday afternoon to discuss the upcoming Dominique-Rodgers Cromartie Celebrity Slam Jam, while also talking about the progression of the Big Blue during spring practice.

Coach Reed joined Jonathan Hutton and Chad Withrow in studios, while TSU football play-by-play announcer Brent Dougherty stopped by.

The second annual Celebrity Slam Jam takes place Friday, April 13 at the Gentry Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with autographs starting at 5:45 p.m. The basketball game tips off at 7 p.m.

Prices are $20 in advance and $25 at the door for adults. Children 12 and under are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Fans can purchase tickets through any Ticketmaster outlet or by calling the TSU Ticket Office at 615-963-5841.
