NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On Monday, junior A.C. Leonard was recognized by the College Football Performance Awards as an honorable mention for the publication’s FCS Tight End of the Week.

The designation was the third straight weekly award for the Jacksonville, Fla. native.

This past weekend against Central State, Leonard caught a team-high three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. His score was one of six passing touchdowns thrown by TSU quarterbacks against the Marauders.

Leonard has had at least three grabs in four of TSU’s five contests and he leads the Tigers this season with 19 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns.

Big Blue will go for its fifth consecutive victory on Saturday, Oct. 5 when the squad squares off against the Redhawks of Southeast Missouri at 6 p.m. at LP Field.
