Tiger Feature: TSU Student-Athletes Continue to Excel in the Classroom

Nashville, Tenn. - More than 80 Tennessee State University student-athletes were recognized at halftime of the men's basketball game last Saturday (01/22/09). The students were honored for their notable academic completion of the fall semester as recognized by the TSU Department of Athletics.

 

The following students were identified in front of a large crowd on the McClendon Court inside the Gentry Center:

 

 

Men’s Basketball  - Lonnie Funderburke, Wil Peters, Gerald Robinson,Parker Smith.

 

Women's Basketball - Kendra Appling, Jasmine Ellis, Charrise Hicks, Tiffany Jackson, TeQuila Martin, LaDona Pierce, Tamara Rumph, Meredith Stafford

Softball -
