Cross Country Travels to Florida A&M

Nashville, TN. – The Tennessee State University cross-country squads will travel to compete on Saturday, Sept. 7 in Tallahassee, Fla. The Tigers will run in the Bobby Lang Invitational Cross Country meet hosted by Florida A&M.
 
Both teams had a successful first weekend as they ran in the Belmont Opener 5K’s. Quamel Prince paced the men’s squad in a time of 18:26.38, while senior Adrain McDaniels crossed the line at 19:23.76. Oteia Prince led the Tigerbelles in 23:29.67 and was followed by Michelle Bradley in 24:31.92.
 
After a strong week of practice, both teams are confident going into their first away meet of the season.
 
"Workouts went very well this week and we will be running full teams this weekend,” said Adrain McDaniels.
 
The Tigerbelles are scheduled for a 9:00am start with the men set to run at 8:30am.
