GAMEDAY
In a game that has playoff implications, the Tennessee State University women's basketball team will return to action against Morehead State on Thursday, Feb. 28 at home. Tip-off for the midday contest is slated for 12 noon in the Gentry Center. Prior to the game, there will be an exhibition as a part of the Sport Girls Rock Experience that will also take place.

THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State is coming off a hard-fought road loss to SIU Edwardsville on Monday night. TSU dropped the contest, 75-69, to SIUE on the Cougars' senior night. With the loss the Lady Tigers fell to 11-14 and 7-7 in the conference. The loss was the second straight for the Lady Tigers who sit in fourth place in the OVC East Division standings.

With the OVC Tournament approaching, each game down the stretch is crucial. The Lady Tigers have an opportunity to clench a berth in the tournament for the fifth consecutive season with a win over MSU on Thursday.

Tennessee State's three top leading scorers are Kesi Hess (12.4 ppg), Simone Hopes (11.2 ppg) and Jasmin Shuler (9.8 ppg). Hopes also leads the Lady Tigers in rebounding with 6.8 boards per outing.

LAST TIME OUT
The Tennessee State University women's basketball team let a double-digit lead slip away and couldn't connect late in the game as the Lady Tigers fell to SIU Edwardsville, 75-69, on the road. Jasmin Shuler tallied a season-best 25 points and Kesi Hess added 21 but it wasn't enough. Simone Hopes was held to only six points while grabbing eight rebounds. Rachel Allen also dished out nine assists before fouling out of the game with five minutes left.
