THE LADY TIGERS AT A GLANCE
Tennessee State closed out the regular season with a come-from-behind victory over Eastern Kentucky on "Senior Night". The Lady Tigers defeated the Lady Colonels, 69-66, in the Gentry Center. With the win the Lady Tigers improved to 13-14 (9-7 OVC) and captured the seventh seed in the OVC Tournament. The win snapped a five-game skid to Eastern Kentucky and gave TSU its second straight victory.
The Lady Tigers finished the regular season with a winning record in league play for the first time since posting a 13-5 record in the 2008-09 season.
As a team, TSU is averaging 62.0 points per contest while shooting 36.7 percent from the field and 30.1 percent from beyond the arc. TSU is currently connecting only 68.1 percent from the free-throw line while committing an average of 16.1 turnovers per game.
TSU averages 37.9 rebounds, 10.9 assists and 9.7 steals per game. The Lady Tigers are under first year head coach Larry Joe Inman.
