NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee State went to Robert E. Lillard Elementary School on Friday morning to read to the students and celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Numerous players and head coach Rod Reed selected from the many books of Dr. Seuss as well as other children's stories to promote reading and learning to the youth in Nashville.
Dr.
Seuss epitomizes a love of children and learning. His use of
rhyme makes his books an effective tool for teaching young children the
basic skills they need to be successful. When we celebrate Dr. Seuss and
reading, we send a clear message to America's children that reading is
fun and important.
