Parrish McGrath joined the Tennessee State University staff as an assistant coach for the men and women's golf program in 2011 and was named the interim head coach in December of 2012.
From 2001-03, McGrath was the head professional at Caloosa Golf and Country Club in Sun City Center, Florida. As the head professional, his duties included management of all pro shop operations, inventory, club fitting, personnel, tee-time optimization and instruction. He also, assisted the membership committee and initiated Open Houses to drive membership sales.
He worked at the Summerfield Golf Club in Riverview, Fla., for five years. During his stint at Summerfield he served as an assistant professional before stepping into the position of the head pro. He provided individual and group lessons as well as junior clinics.
He was appointed the Tournament Director in 2000 and was responsible for sales, operations, course set up, and the budget. In the same year, he was named the General Manager and Director of Golf.
McGrath also worked at the Harpeth Hills Golf Club in Nashville, Tenn. (1992-96). He became a professional in 1993 and qualified for the FedEx St. Jude Classic PGA Tour Event in 1994.
He also provided the Tennessee Special Olympics a teacher certification class for their golf program volunteers.
